Twiler Jean Flores

Friendship

Twiler Jean Flores (née Verne), 57, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at home on Tuesday, May 13th. Leaving behind a heartbroken family and a legacy of love, generosity, and compassion.

Born on July 28, 1967, in Wilmington, Ohio, Twiler was a free-spirited and deeply caring woman who lived her life helping others. For over 20 years, she dedicated herself to caring for patients as a home health aide and STNA, treating each one with the love and dignity they deserved.

Twiler was the beloved mother of five children: Jessika Saunders (Kris), Giorgio Flores (fiancée Dyan Jones), Dakota Daniel-Ryan, Santana Shoshone (Peter), Dakota Coon. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kiersten McRoberts (Mason) and Kristopher Saunders, Hassan and Vera Coon. She is survived by her brothers, William Verne and Rickey Verne, her sister Sheliah Adams, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Twiler had a deep and loving connection with her niece, Missy Thorpe Getz, who was like a daughter to her. Their bond was filled with laughter, late night talks, and unwavering support – a relationship that brought Twiler great comfort, joy and pride throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel Verne, as well as her son Dakota Daniel-Ryan; her sister Mary Helen Newland Thorpe; and her brothers James Newland.

Twiler was married to Martin Coon and throughout her life, she found great joy in her family, her animals, and her time spent at her peaceful cabin in the woods in Friendship, New York.

Twiler had a heart unlike any other. She opened her door to strangers, cared for those in need, and would give her last dollar if someone needed it more. Her love knew no boundaries, and her compassion touched everyone who crossed her path.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the kindness she showed, the laughter she shared, and the lives she touched.

Her viewing will be held at her home, 6002 Fritz Road, Friendship, NY 14739 on Monday, May 19th starting at 12:00pm until Wednesday May 21st at 10:00am, at which time services will promptly start. She will be cremated and her cremated remains will be buried at her home on Thursday the 22nd with family and friends around her. Arrangements are under the direction of Treusdell Funeral Home.
