Thomas J. Schuld Sr. of 7030 Route. 305, Belfast, passed away Sunday, January 16, at his home following a lengthy illness. Born August 17, 1963, he was the son of Eugene L. and Joyce A. Delaney Schuld Sr. On October 12, 1996 in St Patrick’s Hall in Belfast, he married the former Penny M. Sullivan who survives.
Tom had resided most of his life in Belfast and had attended and was a graduate of Belfast Central School class of 1980. During his schooling he attended BOCES for auto body classes. From the age of 7, Tom was an alter boy at St. Patrick’s Church through high school. For a few years, he maintained St. Patrick’s Rectory and later was employed at The Grastorf Implement Store in Belfast. Tom went to Dallas, Texas where he received his Master Plumbers
Degree. Coming back to Belfast, Tom was a self-employed plumber in the Belfast area for many years. He assisted in the hunter safety education Courses in Belfast.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, anything out of doors. Also, he liked working on small engine repair and any kind of mechanical work. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving besides his wife Penny are 3 sons, Thomas J. Schuld Jr. of Texas, Dustin M. (Brittney) Schuld of Belfast and Dana M, Schuld of Belfast; a daughter, Nina L. Schuld of IL.; 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Eugene L. (Connie) Schuld and Bradley A. Schuld both of Belfast; a sister, Robin Collins of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitations or funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral; Home, Belfast. Memorials may be made to the St. Patrick’s Church in Belfast or the Oramel Cemetery Association. Online condolences for the family may be made by clicking the button below.
