Sharon A. Miles Vancuren, 52, of 15 Chapel St. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. Born January 24, 1963 in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Robert A. and Edna I. Reinard Miles. On March 17, 1984 in Olean, she married Robert C. Vancuren who predeceased her on April 25, 1994.
Sharon had grown up in Angelica where she graduated from Angelica Central School, class of 1981. For a few years, she was a personal care aid "AIM" independent living organization from Belmont. She and her husband spent the next few years raising their family and moving from Angelica to Belmont and Cuba.
She enjoyed painting ceramics, motorcycle riding and playing video games. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer P. (Ben) Miles of Port Allegany, and Ashley E.I. (Douglas) Hale of Friendship;
six grandchildren, Destiney Renee Vancuren, Patience Vancuren, Taylor Hale, Douglas Hale Jr., Brennan Miles and Liberty Miles;
two brothers, Randy (Mona) Miles of Port Allegany, and Robert Miles of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Cheryl L. (Nathan) Green of Belfast; and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was predeceased by three brothers, Darin R. Cornelius, James Cornelius and Rodney Miles; and two grandchildren, Colton A. Hale and Emmajean M. Hale.
There will be no Visitations. A memorial service will be held at the Angelica Conservation Club on July 25, 2015 at 11:00 am. The family asks that people bring a dish to pass. No donations please. Arrangements are under the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast.
