Rosalie grew up in Buffalo attended the Buffalo school system. In 1949 she attended the D'Youville College in Buffalo where she attained a Bachelor of science degree. After that she attended Alfred University where she received her Master's degree in education. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to Angelica, where she taught business at Angelica Central School until her retirement in 1982.

Rosalie enjoyed gardening, traveling and watching TV. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Angelica, the Rosary Society and Belfast’s Crafty Bells.

Surviving are 2 sons, Donald P. Granger of Angelica and William J. Granger of New York City; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosalie was predeceased by a son Daniel R. Granger and a daughter Deborah A. Granger Histed; and a brother, John Hayes.

Private viewing and Rosary at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast, Friday April 8, 2022 from 9 am to 10 am, followed a Mass of Christian burial At 11.am at St Patrick's Church in Belfast with Rev. Dennis Mancuso, Celebrant. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery, Angelica. Memorials may be made to the Angelica Free Library.
