Owen “Cliff” Arthur, 84, a longtime resident of Caneadea and most recently Absolute Care of Houghton, entered into a peaceful and eternal resting place with the Lord, on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Olean General Hospital , following a brief illness. He was born July 16, 1934 in Broken Bow, Nebraska . He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia (Myers).
Cliff was a self-employed contractor of siding, and a former restaurant owner. He enjoyed hunting, archery, nature, wildlife, walking his dog Nikki, and anything outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed and loved his family and spending time with them.
Surviving in addition to his wife Cynthia are: sons Kevin, Patrick, Michael and James, stepson Kenneth Myers of Dunkirk NY, daughter Cyndi (Andro) Domenici of Colfax California, step-daughters Tammy (Kenneth) Kruszka of Orchard Park NY, Michelle VanAuken of Hamilton NY, a sister Ruby Marinaccio of Grand Island, nieces & nephews, many grandchildren and great children whom all loved him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents Augusta & Doris Arthur, a brother Donald Arthur, a sister Helen Brisbane, and a daughter Babetta Lindstrom.
A private memorial service was held at the Belfast Free Methodist Church , and a private graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Hamburg NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home in Belfast NY , and memorials can be directed to the Belfast Free Methodist Church in Belfast NY 14711 .
