Orville E. Warner

Orville E. Warner, of 24688 Lawson Rd., Georgetown, Delaware and formerly of Belfast, went to be with his Lord on Saturday October 21, 2017 at Delmar Nursing Home. Born May 28, 1922 in Friendship, he was the son of Orville E. and Lucy Whitwood Warner. On September 21, 1945 in the Friendship 1st Baptist Church he married the former Helen Marie Goodliff who predeceased him on May 11, 2004.

Orville grew up in Friendship, attended and was a graduate of Friendship Central School, class of 1940. From 1942 until 1946, Orville was serving in the Army Air Force. After his service he returned to Friendship to be employed at the Allegany Co. Highway Dept. While working for the County, he ran a small dairy farm located on the Pig tail Rd. in Friendship. Later he was a dairy farmer on the Little John Rd. in the Town of Belfast retiring in 1986.

Orville enjoyed attending his church, teaching Sunday school there, studying the bible and traveling. Most of all he loved his Lord and his family and spending time with them.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas E.(Ellen) Warner of Belfast, Gary R.(Kelly Warner of Glascow, Kentucky and David T. (Laura) Warner of Belfast; a daughter, Patricia M. (Paul) Thorp of Georgetown, DE; a daughter in law, Doris Warner of Belfast; 15 grandchildren 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Orville was predeceased by a son, John E. Warner; a daughter in law, Laura Warner; a brother, Richard Warner; and two sisters, Dora Dalton and Reva Simon.

Friends may call at the Treusdell Funeral Home 65 Main St. Belfast from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday October 26, 2017 where funeral and committal services will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 at noon.
