Maxine E. Corbitt, 85, of Erin Isle Apartments, Apt # 4, Cuba, passed away Friday, September 8, 2018 at the Pines Nursing Facility in Olean, following a lengthy illness. Born December 1, 1932 in Gardiner, Maine, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson.
Maxine grew up in Gardiner, attended the school there and was a graduate, class of 1950. Later she moved to Belfast and for many years she was an assembler at Motorola, Corp. In Arcade, retiring in 1995.
She enjoyed crocheting and being with her many friends at the Central Hinsdale Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She was a member of the Central Hinsdale Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses of Hinsdale, NY.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Maxine is predeceased by two brothers, Philip Thompson and Ernest Thompson.
There will be no funeral or visitation. A memorial service will held at a later date in the Central Hinsdale Congregation of Jehovah's witnesses of Hinsdale. Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast.
