Louise R. Russell, 85, of 400 N. Main St., Warsaw, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital Snf, following a brief illness. Born December 13, 1933 in Caneadea, she was the daughter of Wilson and Athelene Lockwood Stamp.
Louise had resided most of her life in the Caneadea -Belfast areas and had attended Belfast Central School. From 1978 to 1991 she was employed in Batavia and Florida and in other various places as a Nurse's assistant.
She loved to write poetry, sew and do embroidery.
She was a member of the Wellsville Mormon Church and was secretary of its Relief society.
Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Russell of Cuba and Colin A. (Rosemary) Russell of Caneadea; a daughter, Joyce M. (Richard) Bryant of Umatilla, FL; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a step brother, Richard Stamp of New Mexico.
There will be no visitations or funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Belfast. Memorials may be made to the Belfast Rescue Squad or the Belfast Fire Dept. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
