Kathleen M. Hutchinson, 67, of 305 Front St. Apt 309, Olean, passed away Wednesday August 10, 2016, at Olean General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born November 2, 1948 in Cuba, She was the daughter of Douglas and Clara Balch Hewitt. In 1966 in Little Genesee, she married Martin Wardner and later married Lawrence Hutchinson.
Kathy, as she was known, graduated from Tonawanda High School, class of 1966. Later she married Martin Wardner, traveling with him to Illinois where he was in the Air force. After the Air Force they moved to Little Genesee. She was employed at various firms in the area including Waitressing at Ceres and Cuba Hospital cafeteria. For the next 23 years she was a secretary at ARC in Wellsville.
She enjoyed gardening, watching the Buffalo Bills and the Olympics on TV. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Surviving are two sons, Todd (Dawn) Wardner of Allegany, and Timothy (Stephanie) Wardner of Little Genesee; a daughter, Robin Wardner (Steven) Bucklaew of Scio; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald (Jackie) Hewitt of Bath, Jeffry McKenzie of Corning, and Jonathan Donnelly of Corning; four sisters, Linda Rhoads of South Carolina, Terry (Randy) Hall of Friendship,
Sue (Mike) Christy of Hammondsport, and Tammy (Curt) Winchell of TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was predeceased by a special friend Mark Bidwell.
There will be no visitations or funeral. Burial will be in Obi Cemetery on Tuesday August 16, 2016. Arrangements are under the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship.
