Harold G. Warner

Harold G. Warner, 74, of 6936 Route 305, Belfast, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Olean General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born January 27, 1941 in Cuba, he was the son of Harold L. and Leona M. Burdick Warner. On November 18, 1963 in Winchester, VA, he married the former Janice M. Austin, who survives.

Harold grew up in Friendship and was a graduate of Friendship Central School high school class of 1960. After graduation he became manager of the Agway Store in Friendship from 1964, until the store closed. He then was employed at Friendship Dairies until 1970 when he worked at Worthington in Wellsville for a short time. Harold was a jack-of-all-trades and had done many jobs for various people. He was best known for his musical abilities. He, with his Father, played in the Allegany Ridge Runners Band, also the Casino Band and others. He loved music.

His interests besides music were cars of all kinds and gardening. His greatest love was his family and friends, spending time with them and sharing memories.

He was a was a past member of the Allegany Ridge Runners Band and the Casino Band.

Surviving besides his wife Janice are two sons, Jeffrey E. Warner of Belfast, and Richard E. (Theresa Morris) Warner of Allegany; two daughters, Dawn (Raymond) VanTuil of Olean, and Joyce E. (Wallace) Patterson of Belfast; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters; a sister, Betty (Fred) Hepferm of Timmondsville SC; and two nephews.

Friends may call at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship Sunday May 17, 2015 from 1-3 pm at which time, (3:00) funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. Robert J. Mackmer, Pastor of the Belfast Free Methodist Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to a charity of the Donors Choice.
