Beatrice M. Johnson, (Sissy) 63, of 18 Linwood Ave., passed away Monday, February 20, 2022 at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Born October 10, 1958 in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Howard and Beatrice E. Rodgers. She was married to Jeffrey Johnson.

Beatrice grew up in Wellsville, attended the Wellsville High School and was a graduate of the school, class of 1976. After her schooling, she went on to be a CNA and was hired in that capacity at the Wellsville Manor Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1990.

She enjoyed out of doors activities such as fishing. Most of all she enjoyed her family and spending time with them, especially her Grandchildren. She was also known as Grammy and Mom by the many people whose lives she touched.

Beatrice was an honorary member of the Wellsville Legion, Post 702.

Surviving are 2 sons, Tom (Christina) Torpey of Belmont and Jeff (Ashley Lambert) Johnson of Wellsville; 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Patience, Morgan, Aydrianna, Megan, Kim, Anna and Tyler; brothers, Leaon Howard (Gloria) Torpey “Skip” and Victor (Rebecca) Torpey both of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
