Beatrice H. "Bea" Perry

Beatrice H. "Bea" Perry, 92, formerly of Friendship died August 12, 2021, at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, in Canandaigua, New York. Bea had resided most of her life in Friendship, graduating from Friendship Central School, class of 1947. On January 20,1950, she married George U. Perry, also of Friendship. For many years, she was busy taking care of her family and was a home health care worker in Allegany County. Bea devoted her life to helping others and was known near and far for her wonderful homemade cookies and bread.

She was born December 10, 1928, in West Clarksville, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents: William D. and Sarah Edith Taylor Hadsell; her husband of 54 years: George U. Perry; her brothers: Bernard Hadsell and Bruce Hadsell; and her grandson: Nathaniel Hillman.

She is survived by a son: Wayne (Donna) Perry and grandson Mark Perry of Pevely, Missouri; a daughter: Janice (Martin) Hillman and granddaughter Melanie Hillman of Geneva, NY; and a grandson: Christopher (Crystel) Hillman of Romulus, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 -2 p.m., Friday, August 20, at Friendship Bible Baptist Church, 43 West Main St., Friendship, followed immediately by the funeral service officiated by Rev. Duane Broadwell, Sr. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship. Arrangements are under the direction of Treusdell Funeral Home in Friendship.

Memorials may be made to the Friendship Bible Baptist Church, the Friendship Free Library, or a charity of the donor's choice.
