Alice Joyce Link, 81, of 9 Maple Ave., Friendship, passed away February 8, 2022, at Highland Nursing Home in Wellsville, following a lengthy illness. Born September 1, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Robert and Alice E. Moffatt Connor. On July 2, 1960, in Norwalk, Ohio, she married Ronald P. Link, who predeceased her in July 16,2010.
Joyce grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. Attended and graduated from Norwalk, OH High School, class of 1960. After her High School, she married Ronald P. Link and they moved to Milan, OH, where she gave tours to Thomas Edison’s birthplace in that town. Later they relocated in Papillion, Nebraska where Joyce attended beauty school and for several years was operator a beauty salon. They came to Friendship in 2006.
She enjoyed painting pictures of all things, especially light houses from Sandusky, OH.
She was a member of the United Church of Friendship. She was very involved in the workings of the church such as printing of the bulletins and was trustee of the church. Joyce led many people to the Lord.
Surviving are a son, David B. Link of Key West, FL; a daughter, Laura A. Clark of Chiefland, FL; grandchildren, Cody Clark, Garrett Clark and Milan Link; a brother, Robert (Kathy) Connor of Sandusky, OH; 2 sisters, Kathy (Kevin) Boyle of Falls Creek, PA and Cheryl Connor of DuBois, PA;
and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home. Friendship. There will be no visitations. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the United Church of Friendship on Sunday February 13, 2022 at 4 pm. The Rev. Fred Francisco will officiate.
